3 Weeks!

The puppies turned 3 weeks on Saturday and are growin' like weeds! Their eyes are all opened and they are definitely teething, with a few having some teeth popping through.

They are much more stable on their legs, getting more vocal and have started wresting with each other. They're also gaining weight very rapidly! :)

2 Weeks!!

The puppies turn 2 weeks old and are doing great!! I'm continuing to monitor their weight, although I will now weigh them weekly instead of every other day. Each puppy weighs in the 2 pound range and some of their eyes are just beginning to open. By 3 weeks, I expect all of their eyes to be opened, if not within a few days from now. Other than that, they are continuing to be more and more adorable, if that's possible! They still pile on top of each other and have to have contact with one of their litter mates in order to get a good nap. Mama Daisy tends to them continuously and gives them a daily bath and lots of lovin'. Enjoy the pics!

Guardian Home Opportunity

I have an opportunity for a Guardian Home for a beautiful 1 yr old cream Standard F1 Labradoodle.

For those of you not familiar with Guardian Homes, they are basically foster homes for dogs! =) I strongly believe that a dogs #1 job is to be a family pet and Guardian homes are a great way for me to ensure that each of my breeding dogs are getting all the love and individual attention they need. A guardianship can be a wonderful opportunity for both the dog and the owner!

There are many details involved, but in short, I will place a dog within an approved family for them to keep as their family pet, but I retain the breeding rights of the dog for a set number of litters (females)/years (males). So.... the family gets a high quality dog/puppy at a greatly reduced price and the dog/puppy gets a loving home of their own!

All breeding fees will be at my cost and once I am done using them in my program, the dog will be spayed/neutered and will continue to be your family pet! It's a great way to get a doodle at a much lower price and I offer a yearly compensation to help cover medical expenses and your extra efforts.

I obviously won't select just any family and will take my time finding THE perfect fit. Please contact me at faithfuldoodles@hotmail.com if you would like more info and if you:

* Live within approximately 1 hour from Santa Clarita
* Have a fenced back yard
* Are a loving, responsible pet owner with references that can be verified
* Can faithfully take the dog out for daily exercise
* Are able to take the dog to an approved vet for testing/breeding procedures (at my expense), sometimes on short notice
* Are willing to part with your new family member for approximately 9 weeks to have puppies (you can come visit)

There's lots more to cover, but we'd love to hear from you!

1 Week Old!!

This week has flown by and these little kiddos are now 1 week old!

It's been a good week for them of eating and sleeping. Eating and sleeping. Eating and ..... well, you get the idea. :)

Mama Daisy leaves their side only for a quick potty break or bite to eat. She's such a great, gentle mommy with a small dose of protectiveness. Nothing overboard, she just wants to know where they are at all times and what's going on with them. When I pick one up, her nose is right on the little puppy. And when I put them down, she's lick em' and clean 'em all up!

I was having trouble getting everyone to cooperate with me today for some pictures. Seems they didn't like me interrupting their nap time and Daisy had her nose in the way trying to see what I was doing! LOL! They also insist on being in a "Puppy Pile" and have to cuddle on top of each other. It's super cute watching them find each other by their little noses and then snuggling, but it makes it hard to get a picture of each of their faces!

But here are a few pics of them I was able to take. I weigh them every other day to make sure each one is getting enough to eat and they are all on a steady gain! What a good, healthy bunch...I'm so thankful!!

Update on Daisy....

Sorry for the lag in posting. I've been just a teeny bit preoccupied!!! :)

My bubba love Daisy started her pre-term laboring Thursday and by Friday evening @ 8:25pm, the first little one came into the world! We were up all night and into the next morning welcoming each puppy into the world. There are 8 puppies total and the boys definitely outnumber the girls this time around: 3 Black Females and 5 Males (2 Cream and 3 Black). I just can't tell you how precious these sweeties are and the pictures do NOT do them justice at all! Oh...and speaking of pictures...below are some for you to check out. Daisy has gotten her figure back and is resting and taking good care of her darlings. I'll post more pictures soon, but now I'm off to bed myself!!

This first picture was taken about 2 weeks before Daisy was due. She was HUGE and spent most of her days doing exactly what she was doing in this picture!
Here are the first 3 puppies born. They rested in a nice warm box while Mama was pushing the others out.

Daisy is in LABOR!

So I worked on this post earlier but hit the save button instead of the publish button! Silly me! I've been up all night with Daisy as she has been in labor....YEAH!! I'm exhausted but wanted to get up a quick photo of one of these babies....they're PRECIOUS!
